I created a new sketch to use for my second reductive monotype. I plan to carve this drawing into linoleum!!!

Additive Monotype

Additive Monotype

The additive monotype is completely opposite of the reductive process. Instead of removing color, I am adding color with oil paints and mineral spirits. Although the print did not turn out how I expected, I did enjoy the process and learning a new art form. This was my first time ever doing an additive monotype and I believe that with practice and better technique the next print will turn out ten times better!! Practice makes perfect!
